Closing transactions are a vital part of every deal and here in Arkansas, we are a title company state, meaning that virtually all transactions are closed through a title company and not by an attorney.  Title companies can be your friend or your worst nightmare if you choose wrong.  As we teach to our members, you should have a "Team" on your side that includes an attorney, a title company, contractors, a handyman, a realtor, and more.  But a good title company relationship can make you or break your deals.  Over the years my title companies (yes, that is plural) have probably made or saved me over $100,000.  Come find out why and how and why these people are a critical part of your business.

Jimmy Crace and Kayla Burnett from Proland Title will be educating everyone on the things that can make or break you.  At this meeting you will learn:
  • How to read an Alta or HUD closing statement. 
  • How the numbers are calculated for taxes, interest, and other lines on the statement
  • Why you should always check preview your closing statements BEFORE you go to your closings
  • What information you need to provide to the title company AT THE BEGINNING of your transaction to make the deal flow cleaner, faster, and provide a fantastic experience for your client, which in turns benefits you for testimonials.
  • What items or situations will create major headaches for you and everyone else involved and how to head them off in advance.
  • Warning signs of a title company you may want to pass on
  •  Investor friendly or "I will deal with you but you are a pain in my butt"
  • When you can't get the answers you need- what to do.
  • Why line 203 and 503 on the HUD statement is important to you.  
  • Questions you should ask when interviewing a title company.  Yes, you better interview them to find out in advance can they close your type of deal.
